Our sermon text for this coming Sunday will be Acts 24. Having been safely escorted to Caesarea by the Roman Soldiers, Paul stands trial before the governor Felix. Verse 24 is a most interesting verse. God had given Felix a desire to hear Paul speak about faith in Christ Jesus. Felix even brought his wife to hear Paul speak on this subject. But when Felix heard what Paul had to say, he was “alarmed.” The KJV says that Felix “trembled.”
What would cause such a startled reaction from Felix?
What do you suppose was the content of Paul’s message?
Is it common for Christians’ testimony to have this type of reaction upon those who hear?
