The sermon text for this Sunday is Malachi 3:13-4:3. Here are some questions to help you prepare.
1. In what ways are the words spoken against God (vs. 14-15) similar to those spoken today? What are the assumptions of those who speak this way about God?
2. What did “those who feared Lord” (v 16) do to please God? How did God respond to them?
3. Do you think “those who feared the Lord” understood that their actions would be noticed by God in the way they were?
4. Despite how the conditions may have appeared to Israel at this particular time in history, what promises does God uses to comfort and/or warn His people? (vs.1-3) Do these same promises apply to us, today?
