Since November is National Adoption Month, we will take a one week break from our current sermon series in order to focus on the topic of adoption. Our sermon text will be Zechariah 7:8-14.
In order to prepare for this coming sermon, here are some questions to consider.
1. What is the biblical definition of an orphan?
2. What requirements does the sermon text place upon God’s people to care for the orphan?
3. Make a list of ten different ways that Christians today can actively care for orphans.
4. In what way were the people active in their disobedience to God’s command?
5. What was the end result of the people disobeying God’s command?
